AI-HEART Lab Terms of Service

Effective Date: March 24, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the AI-HEART Lab website or mobile application, you agree to these Terms of Service.

2. Intended Users

This application is a clinical decision support (CDS) tool intended exclusively for use by licensed healthcare professionals including physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and pharmacists. It is not intended for use by patients or the general public.

3. Clinical Decision Support Disclaimer

  • This software provides clinical decision support based on the 2026 ACC/AHA Guideline on the Management of Dyslipidemia
  • All recommendations are derived from published clinical guidelines and must be independently verified by the treating clinician before any clinical action
  • This software does NOT provide medical diagnoses, does NOT replace clinical judgment, and is NOT a substitute for professional medical advice
  • AI-generated content (including extracted data and clinical notes) is produced by large language models and may contain errors, omissions, or hallucinations — clinician review is mandatory before use

4. FDA Regulatory Status

  • This software meets the criteria for exemption under Section 520(o)(1)(E) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act
  • It is intended to display, analyze, or print medical information about a patient or other medical information based on peer-reviewed clinical practice guidelines
  • It is intended for use by a qualified healthcare professional
  • It is intended to support, not replace, the clinical judgment of the healthcare professional who independently reviews the basis for the recommendations

5. Subscription and Payment

  • The calculator features are available free of charge on both the website and mobile app
  • Premium features (voice input, AI-assisted extraction, AI note generation, email delivery) require a paid subscription via the mobile app
  • Subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android)
  • Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings

6. Limitation of Liability

  • AI-HEART Lab, LLC, its officers, employees, affiliates, and contributors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages resulting from the use or inability to use this application
  • This includes, without limitation, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, data, or other intangible losses, even if advised of the possibility of such damages
  • The user assumes full responsibility for all clinical decisions made using this tool

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of this application are owned by AI-HEART Lab, LLC and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

8. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the application after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict of law principles.
